Doris Benrey Boguslavsky

Doris Benrey is originally from Mexico where she obtained her License as Clinical Psychologist and did her child adolescent analytic training at The Anna Freud Centre in London, UK. Doris is fluent in 5 languages has practiced in Mexico City, U.K and Switzerland.. 

 

She obtained her Masters in Clinical Psychopedagogy from the University of Leon, Spain and her Masters in Psychology with emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy at California Southern University.  Doris did a four year training in Group Psychotherapy with the Association pour le Travail Groupal therapéutique et social (ASTRAG), in Geneva, Switzerland. 

 

Doris has worked with individuals and groups from different nationalities and diverse cultural backgrounds. She was a consultant for an intensive care neonatal unit (UCIN) at the Hospital Infantile “Federico Gómez” in Mexico City. She then worked as a consultant psychologist for The Early Childhood Center and Primary School at Zurich International School and for the United Nations Geneva International School, in Geneva, Switzerland. She has been private practice psychotherapy in Mexico, Zurich and Geneva, Switzerland for over 30 years. 

 

Doris is now based in Jacksonville, FL USA where she works as a psychotherapist with children, adolescents and adults. She published the article “Desperately Seeking a Mother: female adolescence the uses of the body” in The Anna Freud Tradition: Lines of Development -Evolution of Theory and Practice over the Decades. Edited by Norka T. Malberg and Joan Raphael Leff.
